Why this day (Nowruz) matters
Nowruz is the Persian New Year. It is the most important cultural celebration for many Persian communities. Countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan celebrate Nowruz as their new year. When kids learn about the beauty of this celebration, they build a human connection with people from this culture. Kids who come from this culture feel seen. That is how we grow connection and belonging. Now imagine kids learning about many cultures, genders, and nationalities in the same playful way.

How to run it
Pick the day. You will have a calendar of 30 events every month.

Grades 2 to 8. Whole groups, small groups, or centers. Works for mixed ages. - How long does it take?
Most sessions run 20 to 30 minutes. You can extend to 45 to 60. - How much prep?
Very little. Pick the day, print or project, and play. - Do I need to know about the culture first?
No. The one-page plan is easy to read. - Will kids actually learn, or just sit quietly?
